Businesses and residents in Cornwall, with broadband connections of less than 15MB/s, can apply for a subsidy towards their wireless broadband connection. In Devon and Somerset subsidies are available too.

I finally have fibre, but for the past three years, have been using SWMB. It has been a wonderful stop gap when it works with speeds of up to 65MB/s and wifi installed all over the house and annex. SWMB have always been helpful in getting to get to the root cause of the problem, but the cause of the problem is always EE. They don’t always tell you the truth about whether the mast is working or not, but that is the only frustration as the mobile phone company is the ISP. It is frustrating when this happens but when the EE mast works, which it does 99.9% of the time, the whole system works wonderfully.

They came and surveyed my property and advised me about grants I might be eligible for. The grant actually paid for all of the connections and installation.
